Procedures Dr. Joshua Landa Specializes In
Endoscopic Posterior Cervical Foraminotomy
This is a minimally invasive spine surgery that removes pressure on the nerves in the cervical spine. It is used for patients with a pinched nerve in the neck, that usually causes neck pain and pain radiating to the arm. A small metal tube is inserted in the back of the neck, allowing direct visualization of the spine. Tiny instruments including shavers, graspers and laser can be used to remove bone (and if needed any herniated disc material) that is pressing on the nerve. The surgery is done with a tiny incision that can be closed with one or two absorbable sutures, and patients walk out of a surgery center shortly after the procedure.
